A 1940's style wedding at Cressbrook Hall, Derbyshire
When we woke on the morning of Lizzie and John's wedding back in May, we were all so happy to see the sun was shining. Now this may not sound like such a big deal if you have been living on the other side of the world for the past few months, but England this year has had the WORST weather ever. It had been raining consistently for the weeks leading up to this wedding, and the following day the weather returned to the grey, wet, cold that we had become so used to. On this day however, the weather was perfect and Lizzie got to have the wedding she had been dreaming of ever since they had booked Cressbrook Hall for her and John's special day. Lizzie wore a 1940's wedding dress from the Vintage Wedding Dress Company, which as you can see, looked stunning on her. Her hair was styled by Elizabeth Peat, who specialises in wedding hair design and vintage events. The bouquets and button holes were by Tineke. On the day Lizzie hired the help of Derbyshire Event and Wedding Planners, but until that point she had created and organised everything herself. She made all the decorations throughout the wedding venue, she even arranged all the flowers on the tables! It was incredible how much hard work she had put into her day. I hope you are inspired by all her beautiful creations here.
